Scientific Communication

Scientific Communication includes scientist to scientist(eg: through journal) as well as non-scientist to non-scientist communication.
It refers to public media aiming to talk about science with non-scientists. Often involves professional scientists but has evolved into professional scientists in its own right. Includes science exibitions, science journalism, science policy and science media production, among other thing. The term is "science communication".

Electronic Media & Scientific Communication
1. Use of electronic media to support scientific communication is one of the major shifts in the practice of science in this era.
2. Electronic media can often expedite special kinds of communications between scientists who work across continents and 10-115 time zoneswhile reducing the marginal costs of communication.
3. These communications includes informal e-mail, the communication of conference programs as they jell, the sharing of pre-prints, access to electronic versions of journal articles and development of shared disciplinary corpuses.
4. Internet is the primary medium of this communication now a days. In North America, public access to internet has become the occasion for both discourse about and changes in ways of doing business, forms of entertainment etc.
5. One of the notable feature about the development of e-media in science is that they seem to vary in their structure, roles and uses from one field to another. This observation robust with respect to the way that scientists use email and collections of paper and electronic journals.
6. These between-field differences in the scientific communication system suggests that the communication system of a field, and therefore the use of electronic media in that communication syatem is socially shaped.
7. As a consequence, the shift towards using electronic media as a major scientific communication medium seems to be an inescapable imperative.
8. In today's electronic era, more than ever before, all previous scientific reporting, discussions and controversies become available as parmanent sources for refrencing, inspiration and where needed dismissal.
9. It also leads to an enormous growth in the dissemination of identical information like for eg: in electronic environment 'interactive textbooks' will complete courses adaptable to the various levels and needs of students and scientists.

Conclusion:
The electronic revolution in scientific knowledge representation and exchange is only partially a problem of casting existing paper tradition into an electronic form.

Review Of Rang De Basanti

Title of Movie:- Rang De Basanti- The Generation Awakens.
Director:- Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra
Writer:- Kamlesh Pandey(srtory), Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra(screenplay), Rensil D'Silva(screenplay).
Actors:- Amir Khan, Soha Ali Khan, R. Madhwan.

Jist:-
RDB is an action, comedy, drama film. The movie has a simple aim of creating patriotism and responsiblity towards country in away that it all can leave a deep impact over the youth of country in which ofcourse it has succeeded. The movie showed how the young innocent college students turns into strong revolutionaries when the Indian political system shakens their lives. Also it is showing when it comes to choose between right or wrong, it is a young blodd only who can cross any limits to stand with the right. Music is also an all time superhit, which will remain in the nerves of pwople for a long time. Overall it was the excellent work to cover all the aspects of making such movie.

Specific Point Or Person Highlighted:-
- Strongest character according to me was Siddharth's character "Karan Singhania". As he was the one could choose the alternative way to leave the situation as shown in 2nd half of film. But this character's decision making and fighting till the end while giving answers to people's questions was all awsome and appericiable.
- Best dilogue delivery ever seen, an intelligent work shown of camera but sometimes such work could be proven confusing to public. Transaction from present to past's revolutionaries and connecting the both was showing director's intellectual skills. All actors/actresses worked so well that can be said that you may interpret them from their character's name in the industry for some days.

Conclusion:-
Movie was justifying the subjec totally as it was related to Mig Aircrafts and its bad equipments, the concept of which was left out anywhere.
Overall performance was excellent, such movies rarely made, as may be one in decades. Must watch, 4 and a half stars out of 5.

Media Is The Message- By Marshal Mcluhan

Meaning:
Form of medium embeds itself in the message, creating symbiotic relationship by which the medium influences how the message is perceived.

Introduced :
In Most widely known book "Understanding Media: The Extentions Of Man in 1964".

Mcluhan proposed that medium, itself not the content it carries, should be the focus of study. He also said "medium affects society in which it plays a role not only by the content deliverd over the medium, but also by the charecteristics of the medium itself". He punned word 'message' as 'mass age' and he preffered the same in the title of his book "Medium is the Massage". He used the very interesting example of light bulb to explain the concept as like light bulb does not have any content in the way that other mediums have i.e. it enables people to create spaces during night time that would otherwise be enveloped by darkness.

This is merely to say that the personal and social consequences of any medium i.e., of an extention of ourselves result from the new scale that us introduced into our affairs by each extention of ourselves, or by any new technology. Mcluhan concerned about observation that we tend to focus on the obvious. In doing so we largely miss the structural changes in our affairs that are introduced subtly, or over longer period of time. Whenever we creat innovation- be it an invention or a new idea, many of its properties are obvious to us.

There are conditions in our society and culture that we just don't take into concideration in our planning. These range from cultural, religious issues etc. They all silently work to influence the way in which we interact with one another and with our society at large.  Change om public attitude or action on the part of being audience which is quite distinct from the medium.

Conclusion:
Message always tells us to look beyond the obvious and seek the non-obvious changes or effects that are enabled, enhanced, accelerated or extended by the new thing.
